Best online community??

If you were to choose one online community, which would you choose? Which online community do you think is the best and most interesting? Whether it be myspace, facebook, hi5, friendster, or any other.

Of cource facebook it is like white paper, I think there should be a social networking site for journalist too.

Yeah even I would back facebook as I think its the most interesting one. Do you think Paul that getting up a SNS only for journalists would attract all of them there or even may be a small number in that case?

Chris, actually something in my mind that include the media blog journalist too, if you combine them it will be a large community, however worldwide there would be enough number of media journalists to network, if I am not wrong.

Well, as a blogger my perspective is to build a big platform to protect our right of "free speech", just thought came when I see how Burmese Govt is crushing the free speech right and one of the journalist from China sentenced to Jail brought to notice to the Government by Yahoo.

I think it works well because the userbase is a bit more sensible (has a large proportion of people with higher education). Myspace has a lot of users who go for flashy things and music playing and unreadable text!

It has to be facebook.

- The maturity level is much higher (since it started off targetting university students).
- Its much more uniform in colour and layout (you know on each person's profile where each thing is*) unlike myspace where anything can be anywhere in any colour.
- Its far more modular meaning easier navigation.
- Photo tagging rocks!

I don't know about Facebook anymore - I'm sick of people posting oh-so-hilarious videos to my, increasingly badly named, fun wall. The photo sharing is great and it's nice to see what old friends are up to but the deluge of crap that comes with it is getting on my nerves now.

Well, I think facebook reached to a level of maturity due to active participation of students those graduating or either have completed graduation, the school going students hardly active there, what I have observed.
