    Default PCI compliance

I have a website hosted with you. Its failing the PCI compliance scans done by security metrics. The reason the scan is failing because according to security metrics there is an open MySQL port detected which is a violation of PCI compliance. Can some provide with the solution for it?

If your website is hosted on one of our shared servers, it won't be able to pass the PCI compliance scan as our shared servers are not optimized for PCI compliance. You can upgrade to a VPS or higher package if you need a PCI compliant server and our Technical support dept will ensure proper configuration for PCI compliance on your request

    Hi ,

if it's Shared Server , it will be impossible to pass throught scans and certified your application , so you need a Compliant environment ( Dedicated Sever compliant PCI DSS) .

But if you are auditing only the web application , that doesn't use the MYsql data base putted by default in this shared server and his port by default is opened , you can mention it as exeception , saying that CCV and PAN are not stored in DB and are encrypted in concerned DB by PCI Compliance .

What package are you running with us? I was unable to locate any account in your name.
