    Default Using Drupal 7

I am thinking of using Drupal 7 for my website. Therefore I would like to know if anyone has used it on any web hosting platform. I am planning to get a new shared hosting package for my website and then I would use Drupal 7 with it.

I would like to have more formation on the shared hosting package in combination with Drupal 7 in terms of the following factors:

    Page load times
    RAM
    SQL resources
    Website uptime

Earlier I have tried to use Drupal 6 with a shared hosting package however it dint go very well, this is the reason why I thought of using a VPS package. However considering the nature, functioning and traffic coming to my website; I can very well manage it with a shared hosting package.

It would be great if someone can give me more information on Drupal based shared hosting packages. Moreover I would also like to if I should be using shared hosting or VPS hosting for Drupal 7

    Thanks

    Hi,

Drupal 7 on its own will most defintiely run adequately on shared hosting. It really comes into factor if you have a lot of traffic, at which point you may wish to immediately consider VPS hosting. However, for sites that do not get a lot of daily traffic, running Drupal 7 on shared hosting should be fine. And if your requirements change in the future where you will need to upgrade to a VPS server, we'll be happy to help with that migration.

If your website receives a lot of daily traffic and you are concerned about the speediness of your site, or whether it would work well on shared hosting or not, you may want to consider buying VPS hosting instead of shared hosting immediately, as it will prevent a needed upgrade path later on if your requirements are higher than what can adequately be met on shared hosting for the foreseeable future.

You can contact our sales team with more in-depth information regarding the current traffic and usage information regarding your site and we'll be happy to curate our recommendation based on your specific requirements. In this case, we can then provide you with a specific recommendation, such as a specific VPS package or shared hosting package, depending on your current requirements.

If you have any other questions, you're more than welcome to ask. Our Shared Hosting and VPS Hosting packages and information can be found at the links below:

There is a lot of traffic coming to my website. I was using a shared hosting package earlier as well however I have noticed a slow down in the website performance. In my opinion, I would opt for VPS hosting package itself along with the Drupal CMS. Thanks for the information provided.

I was also planning to setup a shopping cart on my website for the convenience of the users. Also let me know if that is possible with the VPS hosting plan.
