Nowadays I'm comparing your services with other hosting providers. Once sorted out the things, I'll sign up! However you are on the top of my list and hope I'll be hosting with you only .

    Informative thread, thanks.

How long was your longest outage in your business carrier?

Was it single server or globally based? ie did one site go down or did all your sites go down.

    Thanks

    Hey Richard,

WHUK members always keep updated their customers whenever they face any downtime or an outage. I have been experiencing on the forums that they never try to hide any information from their customers if they face any downtime. You can go through the below link to know about the downtime or the network status of WHUK servers.
Network Status - Web Hosting UK Forums | Linux Windows Dedicated Server and cPanel VPS Hosting Forum
So looking at the above link, I think that the outages have always been negligible.

That's correct. The WHUK Forum is always updated if there is a Network problem and this is done so that the Customers are aware of the problem. The Network problem is Updated and the Technical support department constantly works Hard so that the problem is solved as soon as possible. Due to the Hard work of the Technical support department, the Network outage problems have been solved soon as and when it occurred. Also, as the Technical support department was available 24x7, it was possible to contact them at any point of time which made it even better for the Customers.

Excellent, thank you for the response, it is very frustrating when there is an outage and you can't get any assurance from your hosting provider. You sound very professional in the way you deal with the situation, keep the customers up to date is the key. We can't expect 100% uptime but knowing that you are on the ball when there is a problem is fantastic

Yes indeed, keeping the customers informed about the problem is a professional way of dealing with things. It also lets us as customers know that the host is aware of the problem and are working on getting those issues resolved.

This is a fantastic way of customer service!! WHUK keep it up !!

I definitely gets pissy if there is a problem with hosting/server, and I don't get informed ahead of time. Unfortunately these things has happened to me with a few hosting companies.
