    Default ftp help please

    Hello,
I hope this is in the right place- if not i apologise as i was not sure where to write this.

Basically i have been asked by a client to update their website which is hosted by webhostinguk.

I aimed to find the ftp info, download the site, edit it and then upload it back.

However when i looked on the ftp account manager earlier, i noticed that the current account has the wrong path. It does not point to public.html, but a random empty folder meaning i cannot download the site.

    I would like to know:

    1) Can i create another ftp account pointing to the right path?
    2) Am i allowed to do this- i.e is it within the rules to have more than one ftp account?

    Hopefully someone can assist me!

    Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you can create another ftp account pointing to the right path or the exact directory which you want to access through a FTP service.

If your client have provided you the cPanel login details of his domain then you can create such FTP account from "cPanel>> FTP Accounts" option.
